2004 STANLEY CUP PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS
Second Round
Red Wings in 7
The Flames finally got off the shnide winning their first playoff series in 15 years. Facing the Red Wings it will be hard for them to win another. However with a Goalie like Miikka Kiprusoff and the scoring of Jarmone Iginla they will give the Wings all they could handle before falling in 7 games.
Lightning in 5
The Canadiens rallied from a 3-1 deficit for the first time in their storied history. However, it will be hard to imagine them continuing their momentum, as they face a Lightning team firing on all cylinders and is healthy. If they fall behind 3-1 this time there will be no coming back as the Lightning win in 5.
Avalanche in 7
This series should be a good one, as both teams were dominant in the first round. This series should be even through out. However the battle tested Avalanche hold the edge in experience which will help them as they skate past the Sharks in 7 games to advance to the Conference Finals for the 7th time in 9 years.
Maple Leafs in 6
In beating the Senators the Maple Leafs were carried by Goalie Eddie Belfour, who is playing as good as he ever has. Belfour will have to be good early against the Flyers as the Leafs are still a little banged up. However, as the series goes on the Leafs will get a big boost which will be enough to lift them past the Flyers in 6.
