Historical Moments
Founded by Frank Kautsky, an Indianapolis grocer, the Indianapolis Kautskys began to play in the National Professional Basketball League and the Midwest Basketball Conference. Among their players was John Wooden, a star at Purdue who would later become the most successful coach in the history of the NCAA Tournament leading UCLA to 10 championships in 12 years.
